Release Engineer (Contract) – Senior Technical Recruiter context We are in search of an experienced Release Engineer (Contract) who will be a member of a software delivery infrastructure team in an enterprise setting. We are adding a critical member to a small talented team handling complex deployment pipelines.
Responsibilities
CI/CD expertise – design and implement scalable, fault-tolerant CI/CD systems using Jenkins.
Manage multiple application releases: ensure successful code delivery for applications built with Java (Spring Boot), Python across varied environments.
Coordinate and execute rollouts across cloud platforms (AWS), container systems (OpenShift), and virtual machines.
Design container-based build and deployment strategies leveraging Docker and Kubernetes.
Integrate code and dependency scanning tools to ensure releases meet internal and regulatory security standards.
Administer and tune application stacks, including Tomcat clusters and JVM-based services.
Investigate and resolve complex issues with root cause analysis for pipelines or deployments across heterogeneous systems.
Deploy to and manage AWS services (e.g., EC2, ECS, Lambda, EKS).
Engage in technical discussions with strategic mindset.
Qualifications
Proven experience in release engineering, CI/CD, and cloud-based deployments.
Strong understanding of Java (Spring Boot), Python, and related environments.
Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and containerized workflows.
Experience with security scanning and regulatory compliance for releases.
Good problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
