ECS . This position is 100% onsite in Washington, DC. Salary Range:
$144,000 - $158,500 This role is for a senior DBA Engineer to support a high-profile federal customer in the Washington, DC area, providing senior-level database expertise, strategic planning, and hands-on support for migration of existing database systems to the cloud. Experience with Oracle Exadata environments is essential for managing and optimizing performance across on-prem and cloud platforms. Primary Duties
Respond to Tier-3 and Tier-4 service tickets and special projects with senior-level engineering. Configure Oracle applications and databases, including Oracle Application Servers (WebLogic), Oracle Identity Manager (OIM), Oracle Database 12c/19c, Exadata (required). Develop new or existing software architectural plans and designs. Create/Update Automated System Health Checks for daily, weekly, and monthly status. Support System backup/recovery, Continuity of Operations (COOP) and Data Center Disaster Recovery (DCDR) exercises and activities. Maintain up-to-date knowledge for tools and operating systems as new versions are approved for use. Required Skills
Must have a Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. 5+ years of recent experience with DBA/engineering. Installing, configuring and maintaining web applications in an enterprise RedHat environment. Upgrading applications to current versions and migrating and/or redesigning data models. 5+ years of recent experience writing technical documentation (System Design Changes, Requirements Documentation, Version Documentation, Assessments and/or White Papers). Exadata Skills
Exadata Architecture: understanding of components and architecture for performance optimization. Storage Management: Exadata Storage Server, Smart Scans, Hybrid Columnar Compression. Performance Tuning: database performance tuning on Exadata. Backup & Recovery: RMAN-based strategies. Patch Management & Upgrades: managing Exadata patches/upgrades. ASM (Automatic Storage Management): managing Exadata storage. OID (Oracle Internet Directory) Skills
Directory Management: LDAP directory services with OID. Integration: OID with Oracle Identity Manager (OIM). High Availability & Backup: HA configurations and backup/recovery. Security Management: directory security policies, SSL configurations, user authentication. OIM (Oracle Identity Manager) Skills
Identity Management: user provisioning, lifecycle management, roles/permissions in OIM. Integration with OID: directory synchronization. Access Management: policies, workflows, security protocols in OIM. Customizations & Workflows: configure/customize OIM workflows/connectors. Troubleshooting & Support: issues related to OIM deployment and provisioning. Desired Skills
Experience with Oracle Developer/SQL Developer/Eclipse tooling. Experience with Oracle Identity Management (OIM) tools suite. Experience with Microsoft Identity Management (MIM) tools suite. Experience with Information Assurance concepts within the Federal government. DevOps and Configuration Management concepts, processes, techniques. Single Sign-On (SSO), Federation, and various Access Control frameworks. Privileged Access Management (PAM). Experience with virtualized environments (VMware or equivalent). Equality and Compliance
