Aon . Aon is looking for a Consultant - Rewards & Career Advisory, a unit of Aon’s Human Capital Solutions practice, to join our employee rewards advisory practice. The ideal candidate has prior employee compensation consulting experience with strong analytical, communication and organizational skills and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This position can sit in any US Aon office or be virtual based in the continental United States. Aon is in the business of better decisions. What a Day Will Look Like
Leads analytical work on projects with minimal direction from the project manager. Actively contributes to the success of multiple projects through data interpretation and content development.
Under project manager direction, consistently contributes to sequential work steps in the development of high-quality, client-ready materials such as presentations, documents or spreadsheets.
Completes compensation design, job architecture, develops salary structures, and conducts cost modeling and impact analysis.
Reviews and is accountable for all methodology/analysis/output on each staffed project.
Provides regular guidance and developmental feedback to junior staff.
Participates in or leads data gathering and fact finding at the client.
Serves as intermediary between engagement leaders, staff resources, and clients.
Develops summary reports including findings and recommendations.
Interfaces and co-delivers presentations to clients.
Participates in or leads development of implementation strategies.
Assists in new business/firm development activities.
Skills And Experience That Will Lead To Success
5+ years of compensation or related experience in either compensation consulting or internal compensation.
Advanced knowledge of employee rewards, including benchmarking with multiple survey sources/data cuts, job evaluation, job architecture, salary structure design alternatives, and related processes; knowledge of employee rewards trends.
Advanced use of Excel and PowerPoint.
Excellent written and oral communication.
Ability to synthesize and communicate large amounts of data into key findings and identify related business issues.
Strong consultative skills, including relationship building, process skills, and facilitation skills.
Experience working effectively within teams.
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple complex projects in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
Maturity to operate independently while maintaining open communication with team members on changing priorities.
Track record of success in terms of historical performance rating and/or utilization (billable hours/total hours).
Preferred Experience
Previous internal compensation or consulting experience preferred.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree

Salary : The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $90,000 - $120,000 annually. Actual salary will vary based on education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and market data. Salary may be adjusted based on geographic location. This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans for an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary; amount varies and is subject to plan terms.
