As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in developing the technology that powers Knock.com and the platforms supporting our customers, partners, and internal teams. This position is primarily frontend-focused but requires a senior level of expertise across the full stack. What You’ll Do

Design, develop, and maintain modern, high-performing web applications for customers and internal teams — delivering intuitive, reliable, and accessible user experiences. Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, and business partners to create innovative technology solutions. Champion best practices in architecture, testing, monitoring, and deployment to ensure applications are scalable, secure, and reliable. Advocate for excellent user experiences, integrating strong design principles, accessibility, and usability into every product you build. Provide mentorship, share knowledge, and support the growth of peers within and beyond your immediate team. Take initiative on technical challenges, explore new tools and approaches, and support the team where your skills contribute most. Join a rotating on-call schedule, helping ensure system reliability and rapid response when needed. What You Bring

At least 5 years of experience building production-grade software. At least 3 years of experience writing production-level React code. Expertise in building modern web applications using TypeScript, React.js (required), with familiarity in Next.js, Svelte, or similar frameworks. Expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with a focus on responsive, accessible, and maintainable web interfaces. Proficient in modern web technologies and UI libraries to create reusable components and incorporate analytics tools that enhance user experience and performance. Experience working with GraphQL to integrate frontend applications with backend services. Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals and experience across the full development lifecycle. Familiarity with backend development using Node.js and the ability to read and write SQL queries. Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS preferred) and familiarity with monitoring, debugging, and performance optimization tools. The candidate must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. Our Compensation Philosophy: As a fully remote (U.S.-based) workforce, our goal is to ensure that all Knockstars are fairly compensated. Salary range: $155,000 – $170,000 USD. This job posting expires on September 30, 2025.
