DevSecOps Engineer role at Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI). This position is remote with the possibility of being hybrid or onsite. Responsibilities
Help create and maintain IT-related processes for planning, execution, and reporting, including DevSecOps, Requirements management, Architecture, Integration, Verification and Validation, Transition, Configuration Management, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Cloud Technology Services, Multi-level Security Solutions, and Software Development Lifecycle. Embrace and champion Agile development processes and modern DevSecOps workflows, providing technical guidance on best practices. Write documentation for DevSecOps standards, processes, designs, and other required documentation. Manage interactions with technology vendors to discuss features and architectural needs to meet software factory requirements. Design and define system architecture for new or existing systems. Support and contribute to the implementation, expansion, configuration, compliance, security, operations, and maintenance of multiple technologies and tools that comprise the software factory. Oversee and manage site reliability of the software factory. Oversee and manage CI/CD activities for the software factory infrastructure and tooling. Ensure security and other best practices are applied throughout all processes. Collaborate with Information Assurance and Cybersecurity SMEs to ensure security controls are implemented and requirements are met. Create and maintain Infrastructure as Code for cloud services that house the software factory. Qualifications
5-8 years combined experience in roles such as Network, Cloud, Security, Software, DevOps, DevSecOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineer. Experience developing design and standards documentation. Experience with Active Directory, domain controllers, IPv4/IPv6, DNS, remote access, VLANs, or other system administrative systems. Experience with technologies including Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, Istio, ArgoCD, GitLab, GitLab CI, Nexus, Grype, Syft, OpenSCAP, NeuVector, Grafana, Jira, Confluence, SonarQube, TwistLock, Coder, Packer, Terraform, Ansible or equivalent technologies. Experience with common modern programming languages (Python, Go, C++, Java, etc.). Experience with AWS cloud services, including networking, storage, and compute. Proficiency with implementing and practicing GitOps, Infrastructure as Code, and DevOps. Proficiency with maintaining lifecycle of Kubernetes clusters, infrastructure, and tools. Proficiency with creating enterprise CI/CD pipelines. Proficiency in Linux and Windows operating systems. Education
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field. Clearance
Must have or be able to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position in California is $130,000/year to $170,000/year; base pay offered may vary depending on government contract rates, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
