Overview: OnSite Partner's mission is to empower each customer in achieving success through the design and delivery of collaborative, creative and comprehensive energy solutions. This position is a thought leader in the development of commercial insight and execution of OnSite Partners Energy Market Analytics Practices. The role leads analyses of energy markets to understand, develop, and support client solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong research and data analysis skills along with an ability to translate insights into client solutions through reporting, teaching, visualization, and communication skills. Responsibilities

Analytics

Perform wholesale and retail market analysis and reports. This includes but is not limited to energy markets (basis, DA/RT, forwards, historic liquidations, futures, natural gas, and correlations), capacity markets (RTOs including Demand Response), retail tariffs, utility programs, Renewable Energy Credits (RECs, CO2 offsets, and RINS), transmission (NITS rates and tags), and ancillary services Manage and maintain data sets, data quality, and models Develop analytical tools that can be reused across the team to support the work of the function Translate data and trends into commercial insights, business solutions in partnership with client facing teams Generate reports and market insight for internal and external consumption through personal analysis, industry articles and available data on energy markets and utility rates Execute advanced analyses in the areas of energy markets and utility rates to generate commercial insight and support customer and internal decision making Analyze cost savings, actual verse estimated budgets: support client education and quality decision making. These include savings analyses (tariff or current supply contract); hedging/product strategies; competitor comparisons; GHG inventories, rate model/alternative tariff analyses, and custom analyses

Advisory Design and Fulfillment

Develop and consider strategic purchasing models to evaluate energy supply offers and make effective procurement recommendations Develop reports and customer education materials to present effective, insightful, and accuracy information to support deliverables and client solutions Present to clients recommendations and learnings in a subject matter expert capacity Focusing on total energy solutions, collaborate with other OSP areas to translate wholesale market changes into strategic opportunities Develop customer budgets and cost forecasts Work with functional leaders to resolve customer service issues and exceptions and to develop new customer value propositions

Financial Modeling

Perform discounted cash flow modeling to ensure asset investments meet or exceed internal rate of return hurdle rates

Conduct opportunities assessments for clients considering: assess value and impact of various on-site and off-site energy assets and decarbonization measures including storage, distributed , efficiency, renewable PPAs, RECs, carbon offsets, etc. Provide client facing savings models as proof of concept for sales and development opportunities Education, Experiences and Skills

2+ years of analytical (practitioner) experience in the energy, utilities, and renewables spaces Bachelor’s Degree required Advanced degree Expertise in wholesale and retail energy markets Demonstrated ability to analyze market fundamental factors Ability to identify trends and report findings Strong Excel, modelling, and presentation skills Proven statistical and quantitative abilities – coding proficiency – Python knowledge a plus SQL development skills and knowledge of database structures and mass data processing and analysis Ability to consistently produce high quality work with minimal errors and defects Consistently deliver independently produced, high-quality analytical reports within deadline Ability to develop and deliver insightful recommendations to customers and internal stakeholders Excellent communication skills – written, spoken, listening with ability to explain and interpret c Ability to influence and teach others Proactive problem-solving ability; solution oriented, ability to identify and analyze alternatives
