Overview

CGI US is seeking a User Interface / User Experience (UI/UX) Designer to support the International Affairs (IAF) group, working with US federal clients to support national security, foreign relations, and resilient democratic societies. This role is located in Fairfax, VA with work performed at a client site in Arlington, VA. The position involves solving challenging client problems through end-to-end UX design in an Agile environment using emerging technologies. Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end design process, from discovery to delivery, ensuring all solutions meet user needs and business goals. Develop and communicate compelling design strategies, incorporating Human-Centered Design (HCD) methodologies to inform decision-making. Create wireframes, prototypes, and design artefacts to communicate concepts and gather stakeholder feedback. Use tools such as Axure, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite to deliver high-fidelity designs when required. Work closely with clients to identify their needs, articulate challenges, and propose user-centric solutions. Deliver engaging presentations and workshops to convey design rationale and build stakeholder alignment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product owners, and business analysts, to ensure seamless implementation of designs. Analyze research findings to derive actionable insights, creating user personas, journey maps, and service blueprints. Required Qualifications

U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a Secret-level security clearance are required for federal clients. 4–6 years of work experience in UX/UI design or a similar role. Bachelor’s degree. Expertise in HCD principles, design thinking, and agile delivery frameworks. Strong user research skills with the ability to translate complex insights into actionable design solutions. Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Axure, Figma, Adobe XD). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment. Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment as part of an agile/client-facing team. Collaborative and team-oriented, with a strong commitment to delivering value for clients. Adaptable and able to thrive in a dynamic and evolving environment. Passionate about creating inclusive and accessible solutions that make a meaningful impact. Desired Qualifications

Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, ServiceNow, or similar solutions. Experience with service design, including creating service blueprints and ecosystem maps. Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices. Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS) to facilitate collaboration with development teams. Relevant certifications in UX design, HCD, or Agile methodologies. Compensation
