Director, Information Technology Employment Type: Regular Full-Time Location: Honolulu, HI The Director of Information Technology provides strategic leadership and direction for the IT function, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and business strategy. This role oversees enterprise technology strategy, infrastructure, cybersecurity, compliance, and digital transformation initiatives. The Director leads IT teams to deliver secure, reliable, and innovative technology solutions that enhance performance, protect data, and improve user experiences. Responsibilities

Operational Efficiency Develop and implement best practices to optimize IT systems and processes. Oversee IT operations including enterprise applications, cloud services, databases, networks, and data centers. Ensure infrastructure reliability, scalability, and security across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments. Drive operational excellence through automation and process optimization. Compliance & Risk Management Serve as HIPAA Security Officer and lead cybersecurity initiatives. Ensure compliance with HIPAA, PCI, SOC2, and other relevant frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO). Lead incident response and business continuity planning, including disaster recovery testing. Leadership & Supervision Manage direct reports including technical services, database administration, and IT security teams. Oversee hiring, training, performance evaluations, and staff development. Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. Budget & Vendor Management Develop and manage the IT budget to balance cost, risk, and value. Oversee vendor selection, contract negotiation, and performance monitoring. Evaluate and implement cost-effective technologies with measurable ROI. Strategic Planning Align IT initiatives with organizational priorities and customer needs. Develop and communicate a clear IT roadmap focused on innovation, cost-efficiency, and security. Drive digital transformation including cloud adoption, AI, automation, and modern workplace technologies. Policy & Governance Lead the development and enforcement of IT policies and standards. Maintain strong internal controls for data integrity and compliance. Advise leadership on IT best practices and strategic opportunities. Customer Service & Collaboration Ensure high-quality service delivery to internal and external stakeholders. Promote cross-functional collaboration and alignment with business units. Innovation & Continuous Improvement Evaluate emerging technologies for business applicability. Encourage innovation and proactive problem-solving across IT teams. Minimum Qualifications

Education Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience). Experience 10+ years of progressive management experience in IT or related fields. Skills & Knowledge Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. Confidentiality and compliance awareness. Technical proficiency in IT systems and Microsoft Office products. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $75.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
