KeyBank Location: 1301 5th Avenue - Seattle, Washington 98101 Job Summary: The Business Banking RM serves as the relationship manager and financial advisor to clients, introducing a full range of core Business Banking products, differentiated capabilities, and comprehensive solutions to meet client needs and exceed customer service expectations. This role focuses on acquiring new relationships and managing and growing existing client relationships. Our bankers are expected to demonstrate strong risk management acumen, including credit, operational, and compliance risks, to act as the first line of defense in adhering to KeyBank\'s profitability standards and moderate risk profile.

Essential Functions

Serves as the trusted financial advisor and business partner to clients, functioning as the Business Banking client "expert" and primary contact for most client-related matters.

Drives focused growth and business development by understanding the client or prospect\'s business/industry; analyzes data and relevant client business and industry trends.

Provides and educates the client on KeyBank capabilities and how products can help impact their business (cash management, payments, equipment finance, etc.).

Maintains an active prospecting effort, including identification, qualification, and calling; develops an active Center of Influence (COI) referral network.

Assembles cross-functional teams to respond to customer requests; identifies cross-sell opportunities.

Continuously improves sales and credit expertise and partners with Credit as the first level sponsor for credit decisions.

Leads and participates in credit processes and maintains portfolio asset quality, including underwriting, structuring, and portfolio management; ensures accurate risk assessment of the portfolio.

Performs other duties as assigned; duties may change with or without notice.

Complies with all KeyBank policies and procedures, acting professionally, ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key’s clients and Key.

Education

Bachelor\'s Degree or equivalent experience (required).

Work Experience

A minimum of 3 years\' experience in a small business/commercial lending environment.

A minimum of 1 year of experience in cross-selling products and a track record to meet or exceed sales goals.

Understands Key\'s risk culture and manages risk/reward trade-offs.

Physical Demands

General office environment: prolonged sitting, frequent PC use, and occasional lifting/pushing/pulling up to 10 lbs.

Travel

Occasional travel, including overnight stays.

Compensation And Benefits This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $107,000 to $125,000 annually, depending on location and experience.
