Overview
We are currently partnered with a well established forwarder who is looking to expand and hire for their customs brokerage team. The role focuses on handling entries efficiently, ensuring compliance and keeping shipments moving without delays. Base pay range
$60,000.00/yr - $67,500.00/yr We are currently partnered with a well established forwarder who is looking to expand and hire for their customs brokerage team. Key Responsibilities
Prepare and file customs documentation, including ISF, entry summaries, and other required filings, with accuracy and timeliness. Verify commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and related documents for alignment with U.S. Customs requirements. Determine product classifications under the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and assign appropriate duty rates. Liaise with customers, carriers, and government agencies to resolve clearance issues, inspections, or shipment holds. Keep detailed, organized records and assist the licensed customs broker with ongoing compliance tasks. What We’re Looking For
1–3 years of experience in customs brokerage, entry writing, or import operations. Strong knowledge of HTS codes, ACE/ABI systems, and U.S. import compliance. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data review and entry. Skilled at managing multiple files simultaneously and meeting strict deadlines. Prior experience with systems such as Cargo Wise is preferred but not essential. Seniority level
