Overview
The University of Kansas Health System, Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, is seeking a clinically oriented and energetic CHF/VAD/Heart Transplant cardiologist to join the Division of Advanced Heart Failure Therapeutics & Cardiac Transplantation. The CHF/VAD/Heart Transplant Program is robust and has seen exponential growth in volume over the past 5-6 years, with plans to further expand in the coming years. The program has strong institutional support for nursing, physician extenders, and infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Clinical practice and teaching activities based at the University of Kansas Health System with satellite clinic locations and accredited outpatient diagnostic centers
Consultative cardiology including complex heart failure management, pre and post VAD management, pre and post cardiac transplant management, and non-invasive cardiac imaging
Engage in clinical and research programs in the breadth of cardiovascular medicine
Participate in educational conferences
Academic appointment
Qualifications
Board Certified/Eligible by the ABIM in Advanced Heart Failure & Heart Transplantation
Completion of AHFTC Fellowship Program
Energetic, motivated and collegial with a strong commitment to education and training of cardiovascular fellows, residents and medical students
Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of nursing, physicians and administration
Eligible for licensure in Kansas and Missouri
