SEIT Lead Level 4 – Northrop Grumman, Sunnyvale, CA. This role is part of the advanced development team that will be developing next generation technology and architecture for future platforms of marine machinery in nuclear navy engineer rooms. What You’ll Get To Do

Lead a diverse engineering team and be responsible for end-to-end technical execution, cost, schedule, quality, and staffing for internal and external research and development efforts. Require multidiscipline knowledge in all areas related to engineering including systems design, hardware, and integration and test. Oversee engineering program planning and execution, EVMS reporting, briefings, and leadership coordination of a multi-discipline Engineering team. Perform project leadership and CAM responsibilities and ensure proper intellectual property development. Interface with internal Executive Management, Program Management, Manufacturing, Global Supply Chain, Business Management, suppliers, and customers. Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline with 8 years relevant experience; or Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline with 6 years of relevant work experience; or PhD in a STEM discipline with 3 years relevant experience. 6 years’ experience as a technical project lead (e.g., IPT lead, functional lead, or equivalent). Understanding of Systems Engineering processes with execution experience. Experience summarizing and communicating status reports to technical leadership at a level higher than immediate management. US Citizenship required. Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance. Preferred Qualifications

Strong foundation in systems engineering with experience across the engineering process, emphasizing early development phases including requirements analysis, trade studies, and proof of concept tests. Experience in Program/Project management of hardware-intensive programs with knowledge of earned value management/CAM. Active use of Model-based Engineering and Agile practices. Self-directed technical leader with strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to act as a liaison to the customer for engineering efforts. Prior military or government contract experience. Compensation and Benefits

Primary Level Salary Range: $137,400.00 - $206,000.00. The salary range represents a general guideline; Northrop Grumman considers factors such as scope and responsibilities, candidate experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses reward individual contributions and company results. In VP/Director roles, long-term incentives may be available. Benefits include health and life insurance, savings plan, company-paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
