About the Role
We are seeking a
Lead Data Analyst (Contractor)
to join one of our clients' teams in
McLean, VA . This is a highly visible role working directly with business stakeholders and technology teams to uncover insights, map data flows, and communicate findings that drive critical decisions. The ideal candidate is a hands-on SQL expert with strong analytical skills and a polished client presence. Key Responsibilities Lead complex data analysis projects and present findings to business and technology stakeholders. Develop advanced SQL queries to extract, analyze, and validate large datasets. Map and document
data lineage , ensuring clarity on data flows across systems. Conduct
End-User Computing (EUC) analysis
to assess and report on user data access patterns. Partner with internal teams to recommend solutions that improve data quality and governance. Qualifications Advanced SQL expertise
with the ability to write and optimize complex queries. Proven experience in
data lineage mapping
and data flow analysis. Exceptional communication skills with a professional, client-facing presence. Demonstrated ability to create and deliver clear presentations to senior stakeholders. Experience in financial services or banking is strongly preferred. Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail. Type:
