This role:
KQED is seeking a Business Operations Analyst to support the development and optimization of revenue-generating initiatives across the organization. Working with the department head and other stakeholders, they will help identify and build data-driven business cases for new potential revenue streams and improvements to existing ones, develop proofs-of-concept for new products, conduct research to inform strategy, and help monitor the success of the team’s initiatives. There will be opportunity for increased responsibility as the function develops.

Policy:
The role will work hybrid between KQED’s headquarters and remote work. KQED requires employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Essential Functions
Conduct research and build business cases for new revenue opportunities
Develop financial models and proofs-of-concept for revenue initiatives
Partner with cross-functional teams to implement and track revenue programs
Analyze audience data and market trends to inform monetization strategies
Create dashboards, reports, and executive presentations on key metrics
Support project planning and financial analysis
Document processes and help standardize revenue operations workflows
Assist with vendor evaluation and partnership analysis
Other duties as assigned
Candidate qualifications
Ideally 2+ years of experience in business analysis, consulting, analytics, finance, or related field
Software development experience is a big plus
Experience with market research and data analysis/visualization
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple projects
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
Interest in media and mission-driven work
Physical Demands
Ability to lift a minimum of fifteen (15) pounds
Ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull or carry
Ability to use abdominal and lower back muscles over time without fatigue
Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods
Ability to bend, stoop, stretch, twist, sit, and reach
Fine motor skills; good visual and auditory acuity
