Be among the first 25 applicants Job Description REPORTS TO: Senior Manager, Materials & Logistics SUPERVISES: Logistics Lead, Logistics Associates Position involves leading logistics operations, managing a small warehouse, coordinating with multiple teams, and ensuring safe and efficient material handling for post-delivery production efforts. Responsibilities

Manage, train and motivate logistics personnel to build a high-performance, high-morale team. Act as key logistics leader and point-of-contact with senior and mid-levelPost Delivery production, supply chain and project management customers. Manage, set up and operate a small warehouse supporting Austal Post-Delivery production efforts. Lead project management of facility setup, warehouse layout and material movement. Coordinate with Logistics Support, Shipping & Receiving, and Traffic Lead to ensure timely and accurate receipt and shipment of material to/from the warehouse. Execute transfer of material to/from the ship and/or Execution Yard as directed by the Homeport Manager or Project Lead. Proactively manage timely, efficient and accurate Receiving, Stores, Warehousing, Material Handling and Inbound Logistics of purchased material. Ensure accurate receiving, put-away and picking of material. Maintain inventory accuracy and control. Ensure safe and efficient material handling operations. Ensure forklift and other material handling equipment are operated safely and efficiently. Train personnel and enforce standards to ensure safety and prevent damage to material in storage and transport. Manage tool and consumable supply issue via cribs, vending machines, Kanban and other material delivery processes. Ensure safe over-the-road trucking operations and compliance with DOT regulations for safety, time-in-service, vehicle maintenance, and driver qualification records. Ensure timely and accurate receipt and inspection of all incoming material deliveries. Promptly report and document discrepancies or freight carrier damage and support Traffic Lead in resolution of freight claims. Take ownership of warehouse inventory accuracy. Conduct regular inventory cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, document findings, perform adjustments in IFS, and analyze root-cause to improve accuracy and standards. Implement logistics and warehouse technology and process enhancements (MRP, bar coding, wireless scanning). Develop stock location and order picking strategies to optimize workflow and space utilization. Operate forklift and other material handling equipment; maintain Austal certification. Operate Austal company vehicle as required and maintain certification. Ensure 5S and housekeeping standards are maintained via inspections and training. Qualifications/Knowledge/Experience

Strong leadership, communication and training abilities; able to motivate a diverse team and interact with mid-senior level management and internal/external customers. Ability to work autonomously without direct on-site supervision. Minimum five (5) years’ experience in Inventory Management, Warehouse, or Logistics; experience in receiving, shipping operations desired. Bachelors’ degree in a logistics-related field strongly preferred; may substitute equivalent work experience. Proficient with material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.) and able to gain/maintain Austal certification. Safe driving record; ability to maintain Austal company vehicle certification. Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s License strongly preferred. Experience with US Navy and government property management standards desirable. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; proficiency with IFS or other ERP systems strongly preferred. Familiarity with materials and equipment used in ship construction strongly preferred. Position may require travel to support various Post Delivery availabilities and irregular/lengthy work schedules. Willingness to work irregular hours as needed. Tools

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to tour all vessels and work sites. Stand, walk, handle, reach, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear. May require sitting occasionally. Lift/push/pull 50-75 lbs occasionally; up to 20 lbs frequently. Climb to access heights; work at heights above 12’ from ladders/scaffolding/man lifts. Use PPE safely per OSHA standards; work in varying temperatures; enter confined spaces as required. Maintain good hand-eye coordination and visual acuity for operating tools and equipment. Compensation

Salary range depends on relevant experience. $81,808 - $115,423 Equal Employment Commitment
