City of Hope Medical Group seeks a Section Chief for Head and Neck Cancers in Medical Oncology. This is a full-time position at City of Hope’s main campus in Duarte, CA. We are seeking mission-minded physicians to advance discoveries that improve survival and quality of life for patients with cancer. Responsibilities

Provide primary clinical care (mainly outpatient with some inpatient) for patients with head and neck cancers and other thoracic malignancies. Join an established practice with an available patient panel. Clinic-based duties at the Duarte main campus with protected research/academic time in a translational research environment with extensive clinical trial infrastructure. Teach and mentor fellows in medical oncology and those training for Head & Neck Oncology. Provide vision and leadership in research and clinical care delivery to advance City of Hope’s reputation and national impact. Expand and scale clinical trials and translational research across the City of Hope enterprise. Experience in an academic medical center delivering clinical and translational cancer research (preferred). Up-to-date knowledge of cancer care and latest research and innovations. Strong clinical or translational research reputation in head and neck cancers with a history of funded research and publications. Experience in developing and conducting clinical trials and ability to lead multidisciplinary research teams. MD or MD/PhD or equivalent; fellowship trained; Board certified/eligible in Hematology & Medical Oncology. Eligible to obtain or hold an active California medical license. Compensation

Base pay range: $350,000 - $425,000 per year. Base salary commensurate with qualified academic rank and may not include incentive compensation or benefits. Actual compensation will be adjusted for experience, training, and hospital/community needs. About City of Hope
