Head of Engineering

Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and grow the engineering team while remaining actively involved in coding and architecture Drive the technical roadmap and ensure alignment with product and company strategy Architect and build scalable systems across backend, frontend, cloud infrastructure, and AI and ML pipelines Oversee the design and delivery of robust integration solutions that connect our platform with diverse e-commerce ecosystems Ensure reliable mission-critical data flows through error handling, monitoring, and synchronization mechanisms Establish technical standards, reusable frameworks, and best practices that accelerate development and integration Collaborate closely with product, customer success, and external retail partners to ensure seamless implementation and measurable business outcomes Foster a high-performance engineering culture built on collaboration, innovation, and accountability Act as a strategic partner to the founders, with a clear path toward stepping into the CTO role Qualifications Ten or more years of professional software engineering experience, 5 years of leadership experience, with strong full-stack expertise Proven leadership experience in AI and ML-focused startups with successful outcomes Hands-on proficiency in Python as a core requirement Cloud deployment experience Strong experience developing and deploying AI and ML models into production environments Track record of leading and scaling engineering teams while staying actively involved in development Excellent communication skills with the ability to align technical priorities with business needs Preferred Qualifications Background in e-commerce or retail technology is preferred, with fashion experience considered a significant plus Experience architecting integration frameworks and reusable SDKs for third-party developers Assisted in fundraising efforts and participated in boardroom-level discussions Technical degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field Seniority level
