role at
Logos Space . Logos Space is a Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite system purpose-built to serve the connectivity needs of commercial enterprise users and government users. We will help fill an important gap in the market, providing resilient, high-performance satellite-based connectivity services to enterprise and government customers worldwide. Logos is designed to extend cloud and data center network connectivity anywhere in the world to fixed, seaborne, and airborne terminals. Logos Space is led by a team of experienced engineers with proven track records in the networking and satellite industries. Location: Poway, CA Salary: $90,000.00 – $130,000.00 Responsibilities
Responsible for the overall electrical design, analysis, and validation of RF payload hardware, including antennas, amplifiers, filters, mixers, and frequency converters. Assess power/signal integrities across multiple RF circuit topologies. Perform nominal and worst-case analysis scenarios across applicable phases of hardware development. Own product delivery timeline through entire lifecycle (design, development, prototyping, production build, system integration, and on-orbit operations). Develop and execute RF test plans for component, subsystem, and system-level validation. Analyze and mitigate EMI/EMC issues specific to RF payload systems. Generate and release technical drawings, specifications, test procedures, and reports in support of the RF payload design and validation. Collaborate with systems, mechanical, and software engineers to ensure successful integration of RF payload hardware into the spacecraft. Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) with a focus on RF electronics. A minimum of 5 years of experience in RF hardware design, analysis, and testing for communication systems. 3+ years experience with RF circuit simulation tools (e.g., ADS, Microwave Office, SPICE variants like LTSpice). Proven experience designing and characterizing RF components such as amplifiers (LNAs, PAs), mixers, filters, oscillators (PLLs/VCOs), and antennas. Experience with RF PCB design, layout techniques, and impedance matching using software packages such as Altium, ADS, or similar. Strong understanding of RF test equipment (VNAs, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters) and measurement techniques. Detailed knowledge of EMI/EMC/ESD mitigation techniques specific to RF systems and spacecraft. Proven track record of working with electrical hardware systems through the entire product life cycle. Self-motivated with strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills. Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a STEM field with a specialization in RF electronics. Experience with RF system design and link budget analysis. Experience with electromagnetic simulation tools (e.g., HFSS, CST) for analyzing RF structures, antennas, and signal transmission. Familiarity with parts derating standards such as EEE-INST-002 and ECSS-Q-ST-30-11C. Familiarity with IPC standards relevant to RF PCB design (IPC-2228). Experience designing hardware for space environments, including considerations for radiation effects, thermal management, and reliability. Knowledge of automation/scripting software such as Python or MATLAB for test automation and data analysis. Experience with digital signal processing (DSP) concepts related to RF systems. Ability and willingness to attain a Top Secret Clearance. Equal Opportunity
