Ryder Scott Company is seeking a Senior Petroleum / Reservoir Engineer to join our Denver team. This full-time position provides support for our technical team in a variety of functions with opportunities for growth and increased responsibilities. Headquartered in Houston, TX with offices in Denver, CO and Calgary, Canada. Position Responsibilities

Collaborate with and develop a foundational knowledge of the assets and operations to address business needs Primary administrator for decline analysis software in support of forecasts/economics (ARIES, PHDWin, ValNav) Leverage technical, interpersonal and critical thinking skills to solve challenges Facilitate implementation of smarter business processes and analytics for meaningful insights Identify opportunities to streamline and standardize data flow using macros, scripts or other tools Build and maintain quality control routines to improve data visibility and integrity Other duties as assigned Position Competencies

Experience auditing and evaluating conventional and unconventional properties, type well profiles, dynamic models, and summarizing results and recommendations High level of accuracy and attention to detail Strong organization, time management, prioritization and planning skills; ability to manage multiple tasks with tight deadlines Ability to work with a multidisciplinary team and collaborate effectively Position Qualifications

Required Skills

Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum or Chemical Engineering 10–15 years of Oil & Gas upstream experience within an operating company Understanding of classical reservoir engineering principles, forecasting, reserves estimation and classification, fluid and rock characterization Understanding of geology, geophysics, petrophysics and reservoir characterization Proficient with Microsoft Office; familiarity with data science tools (Spotfire, relational databases) Strong communication, presentation and writing skills Self-motivated with a proactive approach to continuous improvement Professional Engineering license is not required but a plus Preferred Skills

Understanding of economics with application to oil and gas developments Working knowledge of drilling, completions, production operations and upstream terminology Rewards and Benefits
