Incorporates edits and redlines to existing designs Facilitates ingest of supplier drawings into the Sentinel program tool set and workflow. Develops basic data and makes preliminary layouts, sketches, and notes necessary to present design proposal. Investigates design factors such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials and equipment, interchangeability, replaceability, strength-weight efficiency, and contractual specification requirements and cost. Coordinates with other organizations affected by design development. Makes layouts of complex assemblies and details parts of devices, mechanisms, and structures. Checks completed layouts and drawings for clarity, completeness, conformity to standards, procedures, specifications, and accuracy of calculations and dimensioning. Identifies design errors, omissions, and other deficiencies, and recommends revisions and/or improvements in design layout to responsible engineers or designers. Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) with 5 years of experience; or Master’s degree with 3 years of experience; PhD with 1 year of experience Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP) Experience performing CAD modeling with design tools such as Siemens NX (or similar) Experience with Siemens Teamcenter PLM tool suite (or similar) Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of tools - Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word Experience working with COTS hardware and suppliers and ability to interpret supplier specifications to influence product selection for weapon system design Ability to understand and interpret requirements and architecture diagrams Preferred Qualifications

Must be able to work independently, function in a dynamic environment, and be flexible to changing direction Excellent interpersonal, written communication, and presentation skills, including the ability to clearly and succinctly communicate complex concepts Experience in analyzing and generating electronics-based system requirements and architectures to inform hardware design engineering primarily consisting of commercially sourced devices Experience as responsible engineer or design lead for electronic hardware product(s) during development phase of product lifecycle Experience in supplier collaboration and engagement for purposes of influencing and refining hardware design implementation to meet weapon system needs Proficient in 3D modelling performed in Siemens NX CAD environment Proficient in generation and release of engineering artifacts in Siemens Teamcenter Unified PLM Software application In-depth knowledge of engineering and modelling practices defined by ASME Y14 standards Familiarity with use of CAMEO software platform for analysis of system architecture models/diagrams Familiarity with use of IBM Rational DOORS for requirement development and review Salary and Benefits

Primary Level Salary Range: $86,600.00 - $136,800.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\'s experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
