Overview
Airgain, Inc. is seeking a strategic, innovative, and agile Vice President of Operations to lead its fabless global operations. This role will oversee the entire operational value chain—supply chain, quality assurance and control, contract manufacturing, regulatory and compliance, logistics, fulfillment and demand management, inventory, and operational strategy—to ensure high quality, on-time delivery, scalability, efficiency, and resilience as the company expands its systems portfolio. The Head of/VP of Operations will be a key architect in building an agile operations platform that supports rapid product introductions, gross margin expansion, and global competitiveness.
Responsibilities
Oversee end-to-end operational value chain including supply chain, quality, contract manufacturing, regulatory/compliance, logistics, fulfillment, demand management, inventory, and operational strategy.
Build an agile operations platform to support rapid product introductions, margin expansion, and international competitiveness.
Drive internal and external (CM) agility to support rapid production part approval process cycles and time-to-market.
Position all products in manufacturing for seamless and rapid contract manufacturing relocations.
Navigate the complexities of a public company environment and investor expectations.
Collaborate with engineering, product, and finance to enable efficient systems-level integration at scale.
Provide strategic leadership across global operations teams (U.S. and Asia) to ensure cost, quality, on-time delivery, and resilience.
Ensure governance and compliance with public company reporting standards, regional requirements, SOX, and ESG-related operational reporting.
Lead and develop a global operations team, fostering accountability, high quality, customer focus, continuous improvement, and innovation.
Required Qualifications
12+ years of progressive experience in operations, quality management, lean manufacturing, sales, inventory and operations planning, or supply chain management, including 5+ years in senior leadership.
Proven track record leading global contract manufacturing operations (including manufacturing relocations) with an Asia focus.
Experience scaling operations for systems or hardware companies, ideally in wireless, telecom, or adjacent sectors.
Experience driving gross margin improvement, COGS lean optimization, and operational scalability.
Skilled in vendor negotiations, partnership management, and supplier accountability.
Strong understanding of ERP systems, lean manufacturing, and operational analytics.
Experience working in a public company environment with governance, compliance, and investor-facing expectations.
Leadership skills to build and guide a high-performing team with a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation while maintaining entrepreneurial spirit and scalability.
Data-driven thinker with strong analytical skills to guide decisions and build organizational discipline.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
Executive presence and ability to coach a high-performance culture.
Growth mindset and comfort serving as a change agent internally and externally.
Able to travel approximately 10-20% of the time.
Proficiency with MS Office and Google Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
Background in wireless systems, telecommunications, or hardware solutions.
Experience in small to mid-sized growth companies transitioning to scale.
Exposure to systems-level integration where hardware, software, and connectivity converge.
Familiarity with agile product development cycles and their impact on operations strategy.

Compensation The US base salary range for this full-time position is $170,000-$220,000 + target annual bonus.
Our salary ranges are determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to the role, location, job-related skills, relevant education, experience and training. The range displayed reflects the target base salary for new hires across US locations and varies by location. Our Talent team can share more about salary ranges and other benefits of working at Airgain, which are not included in the posted base salary range.
