Overview
FOH - General Manager - Southampton role at SA Hospitality Group. This position oversees the overall operation of the restaurant on a full-time basis, based on the hours of operation. Key Responsibilities
Managerial: monitor departmental logistics efficiency, adjust as needed to achieve expected outcomes; suggest new dining room offerings based on demand and guest feedback; assist and train employees; ensure new hire training is completed and standards are followed; communicate counter or product-related problems to the Director of Operations; ensure operational tasks and procedures are adhered to by the management team and drive tasks to completion. Dining Room Service: be an amazing host with personalized service; present products, explain brand and flavors using effective sales techniques; build relationships with regular guests; communicate changes to staff; oversee service flow on the floor; address guest issues with appropriate teams; support staff and resolve issues with leadership; personalize service by leading by example. Labor Management: create and manage schedules according to labor budgets and applicable laws; direct daily work activities; monitor staffing levels in your absence; review staff performance; mentor peers and guide decision making. Product Presentation: monitor quality of food and beverages; manage inventories; ensure grooming and display aesthetics; conduct inventories and oversee flowers/decor; coordinate with BOH where needed. Financial/Administrative: manage floor plans and duty assignments; ensure safety and security; maximize financial performance and profitability; train staff on upselling and guest loyalty; ensure compliance with health and labor laws; maintain menus, wine, beer lists and POS postings; respond to guest requests or complaints; monitor reports and ensure timely invoicing and HR communications; oversee ordering and repairs; participate in meetings as required. Professional Development: maintain current knowledge of restaurant trends; pursue education with company support where applicable. Qualifications & Requirements
Ability to work as part of a team; personal cleanliness. Basic food handling, preparation, and cleaning skills. Time management and ability to work under high volume and pressure. Active listening and learning skills; strong English communication. Reading and speaking comprehension; disciplined to follow standards.
