About The Role
Software Engineers at Muon build the systems that make it possible to design, test, launch, and operate constellations of satellites for a wide variety of missions. Our engineers contribute to embedded flight software, physics simulations, customer-facing APIs and services, user interfaces, scheduling algorithms, data pipelines, computer vision, signal processing, and large-scale cloud systems. Entry-Level Software Engineer , you’ll bring strong technical foundations and a passion for learning, while developing into an expert in your chosen domain. You’ll work closely with experienced engineers, gaining exposure to challenging problems and cutting-edge technologies in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Responsibilities
Contribute to the design, development, and testing of new software capabilities for ground or space systems Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code Collaborate with teammates to propose and iterate on software designs Conduct analysis to support both development and validation of systems Learn new technologies quickly and apply them effectively Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders Deliver work reliably and on schedule Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Computational Mathematics, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience) Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (C++, Python, TypeScript, or similar) Coursework, internships, or projects demonstrating knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and statistics Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn quickly Preferred Qualifications
Experience from internships, research, or project teams (e.g., programming clubs, robotics, rocketry, or open-source contributions) Familiarity with embedded software, networking protocols, or hardware/software testing Exposure to cloud environments, distributed systems, or data pipelines Understanding of physics, orbital mechanics, or autonomous systems Interest in mathematical optimization, machine learning, or advanced algorithms Salary
The salary range for this role is $99,000 - $122,000 and will depend on a candidate\'s skills, geographic location, qualifications, and experience as defined during the interview process. About Muon Space
