Get up to speed with the topic/problem: You will meet with collaborators to understand their needs, including designers, product managers, developers and other researchers. After reviewing previous research, you will propose your own study that strives to provide new insight. Own your research: You will develop key artifacts needed to complete your study, including a research plan and data collection method. Then you will start your research. Communicate findings and recommendations through storytelling: You will work with your mentor to present what you've learned and be decisive on what Adobe should do next. You will manage multiple opportunities to share your research with core collaborators and at Adobe Design events. What You Need To Succeed
PhD degree in psychology (social, cognitive, or applied), sociology, human-computer interaction, information science, statistics; or equivalent degree required. Coursework on data science is a plus. Previous project, internship or work experience in quantitative user research. Experience with data storytelling and communicating complex data analyses to a general audience. Ability to recognize systemic inequities in technology and design. Coursework or experience in product equity, accessibility, inclusive design, or similar practices is a plus. Experience applying statistical analysis methods (e.g., descriptive statistics, multivariate analysis, text analytics) and working with R, SQL, SPSS, Power BI, Python, or equivalent. Ability to communicate research findings with cross-functional partners to drive impact. Experience building open, positive relationships in teams with many moving parts. Pay and Benefits
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $98,800 – $184,000 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process. In addition, non-sales roles may be eligible for short-term incentives and equity; sales roles may be expressed as total target compensation (TTC) including commission.
