Base pay range $140,000.00/yr - $170,000.00/yr Additional compensation types Annual Bonus Responsibilities
Lead the annual U.S. income tax return process, including taxable income calculations and timeline management Manage external tax preparers to ensure high-quality deliverables with cost efficiency Oversee global tax compliance in partnership with consultants and local finance teams Prepare and review quarterly and annual tax provisions, ensuring timely and accurate global reporting Own the North American sales and use tax lifecycle, including oversight of Avalara systems and exemption management Design and implement future-state U.S. sales tax processes Supervise a Tax Analyst responsible for indirect tax filings and property tax compliance Lead tax audits and negotiate favorable outcomes Support M&A activity and onboarding of acquired entities into tax processes Collaborate with leadership to develop internal controls and drive global tax planning Champion process improvement and automation across tax workflows Required Experience
Bachelor’s in Accounting and CPA or MST (both preferred) 10+ years of progressive tax experience; public accounting a plus Strong command of U.S. federal, state, international, and transaction tax concepts Proven leadership in managing teams and cross-functional collaboration Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management Analytical mindset with a passion for process optimization Advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite Hybrid schedule based out of downtown Chicago HQ Collaborative, fast-moving culture with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement Seniority level
