If so, we may be looking for you! We’re recruiting a CEO for Concord Eye Center. The CEO works with the Executive Committee and Board of Directors to ensure the successful running of the practice, optical dispensary, and ambulatory surgery center. This position manages the practice’s senior management team and leads the practice in strategic planning, clinical operations, staff/leadership development, and financial oversight/reporting. Concord Eye Center is a full-service ophthalmology practice with a reputation for excellence. From pediatric to retina care, their board-certified ophthalmologists and optometrists provide surgical and comprehensive eye care for the whole family. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE A minimum of 10 years of medical management experience in a senior leadership role, preferably in a large private ophthalmology practice. A bachelor’s degree in health, business administration, or a related field (master’s preferred). Extensive managerial experience, including proven success in building and leading a high-performing, multi-disciplinary team. Proven experience growing a medical practice and defending market share. Working knowledge of standard accounting and finance principles and experience in developing and managing to budgets. Experience with a fully integrated medical office software package, including electronic medical records. Experience in negotiating general business and managed care contracts. Working knowledge of all relevant aspects of health care legislation, including but not limited to MIPS compliance/reporting. ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES Ability to identify and develop business opportunities for the practice, as well as identify strategies for maintaining market share against competition. Ability to analyze complex issues, develop creative solutions, and resolve difficult problems. Demonstrates a high degree of initiative, judgment, and discretion. Skilled at creating effective internal and external relationships and handling delicate political situations; ability to build consensus among stakeholders. Ability to identify, coach, and develop organizational leaders to ensure maximum efficiency in operations and development of company culture. Superior interpersonal and communication skills. Proven ability to lead and manage change. Strong quantitative, financial, and analytical skills. Ability to effectively communicate to individuals and groups, in writing and orally, with clarity and tact. Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, and coordination of people and resources.
