The Team Airwallex is seeking a visionary and strategic leader to become our Global Head of Solutions Engineering. This is a critical executive role responsible for leading our world-class technical presales organisation across APAC, China, EMEA, and the US. You will drive the technical go-to-market (GTM) strategy, scale a high-performing team of Solutions Engineers and Solutions Architects, and influence the product roadmap and GTM to accelerate global revenue growth. You will partner with Sales, Product, and Engineering leadership to shape the customer experience and position Airwallex as the leading financial infrastructure for modern businesses.
What You'll Do
Lead, mentor, and scale our global Solutions Engineering (Presales) teams, fostering technical excellence, customer obsession, and collaboration.
Develop and execute the global vision and strategy for the Solutions Engineering function, aligning with sales and growth objectives.
Own the technical sales strategy, delivering compelling product demonstrations, proofs-of-concept (POCs), and sophisticated solution designs that address complex customer challenges.
Partner with Sales and Product leadership, acting as the voice of the customer to influence product roadmap and GTM strategy.
Implement scalable processes, playbooks, and best practices for the presales lifecycle from technical discovery to RFP responses and successful implementations.
Represent Airwallex as a senior technical leader in customer meetings, industry events, and executive briefings with C-level stakeholders.
Who You Are
Significant track record of leading and scaling global or multi-regional Presales, Sales Engineering, or Solutions Architecture teams, with 3+ years in a senior leadership capacity.
10+ years in technical, client-facing roles with a background in engineering, software development, or product, and hands-on experience designing and delivering complex software solutions.
Strategic thinker with deep understanding of enterprise sales cycles, go-to-market motions, and how to position technical solutions to solve core business problems.
Experience working with enterprise clients, translating business goals into tangible, API-driven solutions.
Outstanding executive communication and presentation skills, able to articulate complex technical concepts to commercial and engineering audiences.
Strong knowledge of the payments ecosystem, financial services, or fintech is advantageous.
Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Computer Science, Engineering, etc.).

Compensation Range: $250K - $400K
