Role and Responsibilities
The Service Center Supervisor
is responsible for supervisory, sales, and administrative duties in a small area service center location or a designated scope of a larger service center while performing fieldwork regularly. Technically supports a defined territory of service center engineers (CEs) and technicians (FSTs). Supervise, train, and assist other field service engineers and technicians; responsible for all aspects of field service work in the area Perform complex troubleshooting, specialized tests, inspections, and appraisals on electrical apparatus and electrical systems Lead large projects requiring specialized skills such as generator acceptance tests, commissioning of larger substations, supervising turnkey projects, detailed power surveys, and other electrical consultations Develop tests and inspections in new areas of field services Perform job estimating, proposal preparation, fieldwork, scheduling, reports, and billing Write complete, detailed reports promptly at project end and accurately process job billing Actively involved in client interface and business development activities
Supervisory Responsibilities
4-6 Service Center Field Service Engineers (CEs) and/or Field Service Technicians (FSTs)

Qualifications
Education and/or Experience Graduate of an applicable Electrical Technical School or military equivalent and nine years minimum relevant experience, OR high school education/equivalent with ten years minimum relevant experience Factory certified on Core Vertiv (Liebert) UPS and related critical infrastructure products Working knowledge of Electrical Power Distribution, Generators, Switchgear, Automatic Transfer Switches Strong foundation of electrical power theory and safety procedures Knowledge of the National Electrical Code and standards (OSHA, NFPA) Ability to read electrical one-line diagrams and circuit flow diagrams Provide on-site customer consultation and present as an expert in the field Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (verbal and written) Ability to manage customer expectations during stressful situations Strong supervisory, organizational, and management skills Strong computer skills including MS Word; ability to research standards/products online; operate computer-controlled test equipment Willing to work flexible hours, weekends, holidays, and night work; willing to travel out-of-town and internationally for weeks at a time Valid Driver’s License Safety-sensitive role requires passing a drug test and pre-employment background and motor vehicle records checks Physical requirements: standing, walking, manual handling, lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally
