Detailed Description: The Assistant Director of Marketing and Revenue Generation plays a key role in enhancing the visibility, energy, and impact of USD Athletics through creative marketing strategies, campus engagement, and innovative revenue strategies. Reporting to the Senior Associate Athletic Director of Revenue Generation and Innovation, this position helps lead efforts to grow attendance, generate excitement, and build brand affinity across USD's ticketed sports programs and beyond. The Assistant Director also supervises a team of student workers and interns and partners with various campus and community groups to increase revenue. Duties and Responsibilities: Duties and Responsibilities – Marketing and Revenue Operations

Assist the Senior Associate Athletic Director of Revenue Generation and Innovation in executing a comprehensive, long-term revenue generation strategy for USD Athletics. Collaborate in and support community and student outreach while driving brand recognition. Implement strategies for promotional planning, digital marketing, and branding to drive both revenue and engagement, with direction from the Senior Associate Athletic Director of Revenue Generation and Innovation. Collaborate in and support with all aspects of the Marketing and Promotions Department, to include but is not limited to: Working with the sponsorship sales team. Provide leadership and direction to marketing interns for athletics department activities as it relates to marketing, promotion and game operation activities. Assist to develop, direct and enhance the fan experience. Contribute to the creation of graphic and video content for in-game use in collaboration with creative services. Duties and Responsibilities – Student Engagement

Implement promotional strategies tailored to students, faculty, staff, and the San Diego community. Assist in the development and execution of multi-channel marketing plans to increase visibility and attendance. Activate campus partnerships and student organizations to drive student attendance. Serve a point of contact for the official athletics student fan group Develop and manage a year-round calendar of student-facing initiatives for revenue generation purposes. Duties and Responsibilities – Staff Supervision & Development

Recruit, train, and manage a team of student workers and marketing interns. Oversee assignment of gameday responsibilities and evaluate performance to foster leadership development. Manage ticketing student workers on gameday. Duties and Responsibilities – Ticket Sales and Inventory Optimization

Work closely with the ticketing department to help with community outreach and group sales. Collaborate in ticketing initiative to drive attendance and generate revenue. Assist in executing plans set in place by the ticketing department related to group sales, mini plans, single-game sales, premium seating and strategy for ticket sales optimization. Duties and Responsibilities – Special Projects & External Engagement

Support planning and execution of special events, including theme nights, community initiatives, and student engagement activations. Assist with grassroots outreach efforts in conjunction with ticketing and sponsorship staff. Collaborate with development and alumni relations to enhance fan experience during special events. Special Conditions of Employment: Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed in support of athletic events. Required to travel to select off-campus events. Background check:

Minimum one (1) year of relevant experience in marketing, promotions or a related field is required. Experience working in college athletics, live event operations, or related environments. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications

Two or more years of experience in sports marketing or event presentation preferred. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere) and/or other creative tools. Familiarity with game production software such as Sound Director.
