Overview
Staff Analyst Series (Vulnerability Mitigation & New Technology) at Metropolitan Transportation Authority. Position responsible for performing vulnerability assessments and making mitigation recommendations utilizing physical and electronic security systems applications.
Responsibilities
Performing site surveys; developing, reviewing, and commenting on scopes of work, technical and functional specifications, and concepts of operations; reviewing design drawings, and project management.
Performing system administration functions; coordinating system hardware and software implementation, configuration, and upgrades.
Identifying system/equipment malfunctions, performing preliminary troubleshooting, and coordinating preventive and remedial maintenance to keep systems in good repair.
Researching and vetting new physical and electronic security applications emerging in the security industry for potential deployment at NYCT.
Education and Experience

Qualifications and Skills
Background in physical and electronic security with project management experience.
Experience in system administration and maintenance of large-scale integrated security systems (preferably Lenel OnGuard).
Competence with Windows, networking, SQL, relational databases, and Microsoft Office.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation and Classification Staff Analyst I (TA): $71,255 - $84,357; New Hire Rate: $61,958
Staff Analyst II (TA): $82,736 - $92,147; New Hire Rate: $71,946
Associate Staff Analyst (TA): $93,528 - $121,095; New Hire Rate: $81,328
Staff Analyst I (OA): $68,962 - $81,642
Staff Analyst II (OA): $80,071 - $89,179
Associate Staff Analyst (OA): $90,511 - $117,195
Note: TA employees must be permanent in the Staff Analyst, Associate Staff Analyst title or be reachable on the civil service list for consideration. 55-a Program eligibility noted in application materials.
Additional Details
On occasion you may be required to work weekends, holidays, different tours. Mandatory overtime may be required.
Location: 130 Livingston Street; Hours: as required.
