CR’s Enterprise & Strategy team is the driving force behind our organization. This team leads our strategic vision and planning, overseeing initiatives that enhance our operational effectiveness, drive impact for consumers, improve the marketplace, and position CR for long term success. As Director, Strategic Insights you will build a nimble, insight-rich function that brings the outside in. This role is critical to deepening CR’s understanding of consumer trends, competitive dynamics, and broader societal, technological, and regulatory shifts, while also identifying emerging opportunities in new domains and industries that could shape CR’s future. Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer, you will be hands-on in surfacing timely, actionable intelligence to inform strategic decision-making and enterprise priorities. How You’ll Make An Impact The Director, Strategic Insights serves as a leader and active contributor, working across teams to deepen CR’s understanding of consumers and markets, develop data-driven models to uncover new opportunities, and shape the organization’s long-term strategy. On a regular basis, you may: Lead competitive and market intelligence efforts across CR’s core categories and new growth spaces. Deliver clear, actionable insight briefs and opportunity scans to senior leaders and cross-functional teams. Leverage AI tools and modern research platforms to enhance speed and depth of analysis. Collaborate closely with teams to support future-facing strategic bets, including potential M&A. Work with internal data and analytics teams to ensure alignment and complementarity, avoiding duplication and driving efficiency. Lead agile, cross-functional project teams and establish strong working norms and deliverables cadence. ABOUT YOU: You’ll Be Highly Rated If: You have deep expertise

At Consumer Reports, we are committed to fair, transparent pay and we strive to provide competitive, market-informed compensation.The target salary range for this position is $200K-$225K. It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall near the middle of this range. Compensation for the successful candidate will be informed by the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. We have three locations: Yonkers, NY, Washington, DC and Colchester, CT.
