Overview
Harmony Senior Services, a certified Great Place To Work and one the country’s fastest growing companies in the luxury senior living industry, is seeking a Chief Executive Officer. Harmony is in the top 25 Providers in Senior Living. Currently operating 47 Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care communities across 12 states, serving over 6,000 residents with additional 7 new communities under development.
The CEO serves as the top executive leader responsible for the strategic direction, operational excellence, and financial performance for Harmony Senior Services, partnering closely with Smith Packett for Development and Wessex Capital Investment for Debt & Equity. The CEO will lead the company in delivering high-quality, hospitality-driven senior living services while ensuring sustainable growth and innovation in care delivery. The position will be based at Harmony’s home office located in Charleston, South Carolina.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute long-term strategic plans aligned with Harmony’s mission and growth objectives.
Lead expansion efforts including new community development, acquisitions, and market entry strategies.
Ensure excellence in day-to-day operations across all communities.
Implement scalable systems and processes to support growth and quality care.
Drive financial performance and manage budgets, capital investments, and profitability.
Collaborate with Harmony’s parent company, Smith/Packett, and affiliated entities to align capital strategy.
Foster a culture of compassion, integrity, and excellence among associates.
Champion flexible work models and talent retention strategies, especially for millennial workforce segments.
Promote adoption of resident-centric technologies, including GPS-enabled security systems and digital engagement tools.
Lead initiatives to enhance operational transparency and family engagement.
Represent Harmony to investors, regulators, industry organizations, and the broader community.
Travel to communities as required.
Qualifications
Proven executive leadership experience in senior living required, with a strong operational background and previous experience working in communities.
Track record of scaling operations and driving brand growth.
Strong financial acumen and strategic planning capabilities.
Passion for serving older adults and commitment to mission-driven leadership.
Experience with IL, AL and Memory Care communities.
