This role sits in Capital One’s Intelligent Foundations and Experiences (IFX) AIML product & platform organization, focusing on building robust, scalable platforms that enable state of the art AI capabilities integrated with customer-facing and internal applications. About the Team: As a Director of Technical Program Management on the IFX AIML team, you will help build foundational, scalable platforms for AI experiences across Capital One’s lines of business (e.g., credit card, retail banking, auto finance) and drive the TPM discipline within the team. Responsibilities
Lead programs that deliver on critical business goals and build large scale AI/ML platforms and products. Provide cross-functional leadership across product, engineering, design, and data science to drive decisions and delivery. Simplify technically complex problems and drive well-educated decisions across product, engineering, design, and data science stakeholders. Focus on execution, accountability, and measurable results; drive collaboration across teams and reporting boundaries. Grow and develop a team of TPMs and establish the TPM practice within the organization. Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree At least 7 years of experience managing technical programs Preferred Qualifications
7+ years of experience designing and building data-intensive solutions using distributed computing 3+ years building distributed systems and highly available services using cloud computing (preferably AWS) 3+ years building highly scalable mobile products and platforms 3+ years of experience with Agile delivery 3+ years delivering large and complex programs with cross-functional collaboration and business/technical vision Experience building systems and solutions in a highly regulated environment Bachelor's degree in a related technical field (CS, Software Engineering) MBA or Master’s in a related field or equivalent experience Note: Capital One does not sponsor work authorization for this position. Salary ranges by location (illustrative): Cambridge, MA: $226,000 - $257,900; McLean, VA: $226,000 - $257,900; New York, NY: $246,500 - $281,300; Richmond, VA: $205,400 - $234,400; San Francisco, CA: $246,500 - $281,300.
