Overview
Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) role at Christian Care Ministry (CCM). The CSO will hold operational and fiduciary authority over all business development activities, including strategic partnerships and product development. The CSO will supervise the Chief Marketing Officer responsible for member communications, marketing content, sales channels, and events, and will report to the Chief Executive Officer and CCM Board of Directors. Our ideal candidate possesses a strong faith and walk with Jesus Christ and has excellent communication and leadership skills. We seek a seasoned leader with a strategic and creative mind, with a history of developing new products and services, launching new brands, developing new markets, and contributing to the financial strength of CCM. The CSO will lead the design and development of a strategic framework to enable CCM’s mission with sustainable impact and results. This role directly supervises Senior Leaders (Senior Directors and Vice Presidents) and collaborates with CCM’s Executive Team. Responsibilities
Execute research, development, marketing, and growth strategies in collaboration with CCM’s CEO, Board of Directors, and Executive Team. Formulate the organization’s strategy with clear strategic choices, engaging senior leaders and aligning the organization toward a comprehensive growth plan. Spearhead strategy and methodology for research and development of new product offerings and markets. Oversee CCM’s expansion and diversification through: research and development of new programs, development of new product services, strategic partnerships, and identifying market opportunities aligned with CCM’s mission. Identify growth opportunities and build relationships with stakeholders. Analyze market dynamics, market share, product performance, and competitive intelligence. Identify capital projects, joint ventures, and other strategic partnerships. Identify strategic risks and communicate strategy across the ministry. Ensure metrics are in place to measure performance and progress. Develop and negotiate strategic partnerships and cultivate community relationships and outreach opportunities. Represent CCM at conferences, meetings, and industry events. Contribute to the exercise and expression of Christian Care Ministry’s beliefs. Other responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications
Education And/or Experience Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field required; MBA preferred. 15+ years of senior management experience required. 5+ years of experience as a top/C-level executive required, preferably with an organization larger than CCM ($1B+) with significant growth. Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities Execute research, development, marketing, and growth strategies that support the ministry’s objectives as directed and in collaboration with CCM’s CEO, Board of Directors, and Executive Team. Frame clear strategic choices, solicit perspectives from senior leaders, drive alignment, and articulate a comprehensive growth strategy with a clear path forward. Lead strategy and methodology for R&D of new product offerings and markets. Oversee expansion and diversification of CCM’s ministry through: R&D of new/enhanced programs; development of new product services; strategic partnerships; identifying resources and methods to identify and vet new markets, services, programs, and products aligned with CCM’s mission. Identify growth opportunities and build relationships with stakeholders. Analyze market dynamics, market share, product performance, and competitive intelligence. Identify capital projects, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships; identify strategic risks. Communicate strategy effectively throughout the ministry. Ensure appropriate metrics are in place to measure performance and progress. Develop and maintain strategic partnerships and community relationships/outreach. Represent CCM at conferences, meetings, and industry events. Contribute to the expression of CCM’s beliefs. Other responsibilities as assigned. Essential Skills & Abilities
Demonstrated track record in developing and executing a vision and strategy to scale and grow organizations. Strong experience building relationships with C-level executives across for-profit, nonprofit, and government sectors. Experience designing and executing organizational growth through innovative strategic plans. Experience engaging public officials and navigating political and legislative processes at federal and state levels. Excellent public speaking skills and ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences. Proven ability to lead through influence, negotiation, and contract skills. Passion for coaching and mentoring staff and fostering skill development. Lifelong learner, current on industry trends and best practices. Experience in CCM’s ministry-related fields (health care, customer service, product development, business development, financial services). Knowledge of the Christian marketplace with experience in market research, advertising, social media marketing, SEO, lead generation, and website development. Strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal English communication. Ability to work effectively in a team and independently; capable of delivering results within tight timelines. Experience developing and maintaining productive relationships with board members, peers, and staff; high integrity and collaborative within a complex organization.
