Location & Flexibility The Senior Manager, Solutions Architecture - Adobe is a key contributor to both Solutions Architecture and Marketing Services. We prioritize candidates who can maintain an in-office presence in a hybrid capacity (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays). Locations include Boston, MA; Charlottesville, VA; Columbus, OH; or Durham, NC. Remote work in the U.S. is also considered. The Opportunity As a Senior Manager, Solutions Architecture - Adobe, you will be a pivotal link between pre-sales strategy and project delivery. You will: Use deep, authoritative knowledge of the Adobe ecosystem to shape, architect, and launch marketing technology solutions aligned with client and executive partner goals. Consult on headless CMS solutions and e-commerce platforms to address business challenges. Lead architectural discovery for new initiatives and guide in-flight projects to ensure solutions are technically sound and aligned with business objectives. Engage with prospective clients, lead architecture efforts for new engagements, and collaborate with delivery teams to realize client visions. Provide critical estimates for team composition, scope, and resource planning to ensure projects are realistically scoped and staffed. Responsibilities Presale: Lead scoping, technical design, and work planning during the presale process while communicating capabilities to prospective clients. Delivery: Lead technical architecture and discovery projects, applying consulting methods to refine product and technical architecture. Subject Matter Expertise: Own a technology vertical within the Adobe ecosystem and stay informed on broader marketing technology trends. Roving Catalyst: Provide architectural guidance to enhance existing project teams. Qualifications 10+ years in technical pre-sales, solution architecture, or consulting services. Adobe Ecosystem: Expertise in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) including architecture, components, templates, workflows, and integrations; familiarity with at least one other Adobe platform (e.g., RT-CDP, Target, AJO, CJA, Commerce). Headless CMS & Commerce: Strong understanding of headless CMS architectures with platforms such as Contentful and Contentstack. General Web Architecture: Proficient in RESTful/GraphQL APIs, webhooks, microservices; modern frontend frameworks (React, Next.js, Vue.js); architectural patterns (event-driven, serverless); performance, security, and SEO best practices. Experience delivering software in an agency/client-service environment and in commercial conversations involving budgets and fees. Ability to iterate and refine product vision with a client by offering multiple options; skilled in estimation, planning, and staffing within time/cost constraints. Leadership & Vision Apply modern processes that transform client organizations (continuous delivery, rapid iteration, agile-inspired methodologies). Use repeatable frameworks and best practices to adopt new technologies. Comfortable in both pre-sale and post-sale environments; thrive in ambiguous situations and translate complex challenges into actionable plans. Excellent communication and client-facing skills; able to explain AEM architecture and tradeoffs to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Bonus Points Familiarity with commerce platforms such as BigCommerce, Shopify, and Salesforce Commerce Cloud is a plus.
