As the firm continues to expand, they are seeking a Tax Senior Manager to join their leadership team and play a key role in shaping the future of the tax practice. About the role
The Tax Senior Manager will provide tax compliance and consulting services while leading and mentoring a team of tax professionals. This role offers a unique opportunity to step into an established practice with an existing book of business while being positioned for partnership consideration within 1–2 years. The firm’s tax practice serves clients across multiple industries, with a significant concentration in oil and gas, as well as international and corporate taxation. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tax leader who values professional excellence while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Responsibilities
Lead and oversee tax compliance and consulting engagements for a diverse client base, including individuals, corporations, partnerships, and international entities. Provide expertise in tax provisions and FAS 109 compliance. Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of approximately eight tax professionals. Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring exceptional service delivery. Collaborate with partners and audit leadership to support firmwide growth initiatives. Contribute to the long-term expansion of the tax practice, including business development and client acquisition. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required). CPA license (required). Minimum of 12 years of progressive tax experience within a CPA firm. Strong technical expertise in corporate taxation. FAS 109 (ASC 740) tax provision experience required. Exposure to international tax (preferred). Prior experience serving oil and gas clients required. Proven managerial and leadership skills with the ability to mentor and inspire a tax team. Strong client service orientation and relationship management skills. Benefits
