Overview
Linux Systems Administrator role for Booz Allen Hamilton via Dice. The opportunity focuses on design, deployment, and maintenance of Cross Domain Solutions for an enterprise environment supporting the U.S. Federal Government.
Responsibilities
As a Linux System Administrator on the project, you will continually seek ways to improve the infrastructure using the latest technology and implementation strategies.
Provide customers with insight into their network through monitoring and performance management.
Identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical network.
Turn metrics into information and explain their meaning to the team and customers.
Share expertise through leadership and mentoring to help the team develop new methodologies.
As a technical leader, identify opportunities to modernize the network to meet customer needs.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux or CentOS
Experience managing virtual machines and VMware ESXi
Knowledge of Linux firewalls, networking configuration, and DNS
Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
Bachelor's degree in an IT field and 5+ years of systems administration or 12+ years of systems administration in lieu of a degree
Ability to obtain a DoD 8570.1 IAT Level II Compliant Certification within 60 days of start date
Nice to Have
Experience with AWS
Experience managing systems using Infrastructure as Code technologies (Salt, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Terraform)
Experience programming in Python
Knowledge of bi-directional network transfer systems
DoD 8570.1 IAT Level II Compliant Certification
Clearance Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
Compensation Salary range: $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The posted range is a guideline and compensation depends on location, experience, education, and contract requirements. The posting will close within 90 days from the posting date.
