Director, Executive Recruiting (Global Leadership) – IC role reporting to the Vice President, Global Talent Acquisition. Responsible for attracting and securing executive talent (VP-level and above) to shape Okta’s next chapter. Build a consistent global process for hiring executive leadership and enable the recruiting organization with best-in-class practices for senior leadership hiring. Responsibilities

Serve as a strategic partner to the C-suite and senior leaders, guiding executive hiring decisions across all global functions (G&A, Technology, Product, GTM). Lead complex, global executive searches end-to-end, leveraging AI, data, and best-in-class recruiting strategies to deliver outstanding results. Act as a cultural ambassador, ensuring every executive hire reflects Okta’s values and strengthens the leadership bench. Drive operational excellence in executive recruiting through process design, metrics, and continuous improvement. Results

Deliver a consistent pipeline of diverse, high-quality executive talent that meets business and leadership needs. Achieve timely and successful placement of VP and C-level hires across multiple geographies. Strengthen Okta’s position in the executive talent market, particularly in the security and IAM sectors. Demonstrate measurable improvements in efficiency, candidate experience, and stakeholder satisfaction through AI and data-driven insights. Contribute to a strong leadership culture that accelerates Okta’s growth and long-term success. Relationships

Build trusted advisory partnerships with the C-suite, executive team, and senior leaders across the globe. Collaborate with business partners, HR leaders, and external search partners to align priorities and outcomes. Develop and maintain long-term relationships with top executive talent, positioning Okta as an employer of choice. Act as a guardian of Okta’s culture, ensuring leadership hires embody our core values. What We’re Looking For

10+ years of executive recruiting experience with a track record of placing VP and C-level talent. Strong experience hiring across business functions (G&A, Technology, Product, GTM). Expertise in leveraging AI and data to drive smarter recruiting outcomes. Executive presence with the ability to influence and advise senior leaders confidently. Experience creating executive compensation packages in the technology sector. History of building scalable, efficient recruiting processes with operational excellence. Global mindset with experience navigating different markets and hiring practices. High EQ and ability to manage nuance with discretion and credibility. Industry knowledge in security, IAM, or related technology sectors strongly preferred. Collaborative, values-driven leader who elevates Okta’s culture. This hybrid role will be based in San Francisco with a 1–2 days/week in-office requirement. Salary & Benefits

The annual base salary range for candidates located in California is $214,000–$320,000 USD, plus equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits (health, dental, vision, 401(k), FSA, paid leave).
