$20-$30/hr, dependent on experience

Job Summary Antares Therapeutics is seeking a highly motivated co-op/ student to join the Protein and Structural Sciences team for the spring semester of 2026. The Discovery Predictive Sciences team is tightly integrated with drug discovery project teams and bridges protein and structural sciences, machine learning, medicinal chemistry, and computational chemistry. The successful candidate will work with Protein and Structural Sciences team members to establish new protein crystallography tools to that will be utilized to inform our drug discovery programs.
Key Responsibilities
Design and express recombinant proteins of strategic drug discovery targets
Implement X-ray crystallography screening campaigns to identify and optimize crystal growth conditions for novel systems
Assist in crystal data collection and refinement of protein structures with key ligands
Basic Requirements
Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of undergraduate education in Chemistry, Biochemistry or Biology
Fundamental understanding of protein structure and function
Experience in basic lab practices including microbiology and molecular biology techniques and preparation of buffer reagents
Nice To Have
Lab experience with BSL1 handling bacterial agents
Knowledge of recombinant protein to crystal structure pipeline; exposure to high throughput crystallography robotics
