Responsibilities
Evaluates and treats patients with medical diagnostic and treatment skills.
Participates in efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care.
Accepts patient referrals, serves as admitting/attending/consulting physician for hospitalized patients as needed.
Participates in academic programs (e.g., medical education and research) as requested.
Provides documentation meeting insurance requirements; appeals denials in a timely manner.
Participates in inpatient and outpatient consultations for specialty areas, which may include on-call schedules.
Position Highlights
Bed capacity: 118
Day shift: 3 daytime rounders, 1 APP
Night shift: 1 nocturnist
Open ICU
Day patient encounter goal: 16–18
ACLS/BLS required. No procedures required.
Must be able to respond to and run codes; ICU specialty support during the day.
Compensation: $293,196 for 176 day shifts per year; $30,000 start bonus (forgivable over 3 years); 2.5% quality metric bonus annually; seniority bonus.
Qualifications
MD or DO licensed to practice in Wisconsin (or eligible for licensure); credentialed by the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board prior to hire/date of transfer.
Advanced Life Support (AHA) preferred; verified by local credentialing office.
Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
