Key Responsibilities
Operational Management :
Oversee daily operations of the cafe, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
Ensure that all health, safety, and food safety regulations are adhered to.
Manage inventory levels, placing orders, and tracking supplies to avoid shortages or waste.
Staff Management :
Recruit, train, and supervise staff, including baristas, servers, and kitchen employees.
Develop and schedule staff rosters to ensure proper coverage during peak hours.
Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback, motivation, and guidance for career development.
Customer Service :
Ensure an excellent customer experience by addressing customer concerns, handling complaints, and monitoring service quality.
Foster a positive, friendly, and welcoming atmosphere for both customers and staff.
Financial Management :
Monitor and manage the cafe's budget, including payroll, ordering, and operational costs.
Prepare and review financial reports, track sales, and implement strategies to maximize profitability.
Ensure cash handling and financial transactions are accurate.
Marketing and Promotion :
Work with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional strategies to increase sales and customer engagement.
Organize events or special promotions to attract new customers and retain loyal ones.
Quality Control :
Ensure the quality of food and drinks meets the standards set by Miss J's Cafe.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the cafe to create a pleasant environment.
Collaboration and Communication :
Work closely with the owner to achieve business goals, resolve issues, and implement new strategies.
Communicate effectively with staff, suppliers, and customers.
Skills and Qualifications
Proven experience as a General Manager, Cafe Manager, or similar role.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to manage finances, budgets, and financial reports.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the food industry.
Ability to work under pressure and handle stressful situations.
Passion for coffee and food industry trends.
Education and Experience
A degree in hospitality management or a related field is a plus.
At least 3-5 years of management experience in a cafe or food service environment
