Job Summary Step into the thrilling world of Delusion as a core storyteller and guide. As an actor in this immersive theater experience, your craft will extend beyond the traditional stage into a fully realized, site-specific world where every detail amplifies the narrative.

Key Responsibilities

Embodied Storytelling:

Bring intricate characters to life through authentic performances and dynamic, in-character interactions. Weave guests into the heart of a suspenseful, cinematic adventure that unfolds in real time.

Immersive Guest Engagement:

Escort and immerse visitors in the unfolding tale, adapting to their responses and choices. Play a vital role in blurring the lines between reality and fiction, ensuring every guest feels part of the story.

Physical and Emotional Presence:

Employ expressive body language, movement, and improvisational skills to heighten tension and atmosphere. Utilize the environment and props to enhance dramatic moments.

Collaboration & Adaptability:

Work closely with fellow performers and crew to improvise, respond, and adapt to unpredictable scenarios. Help ensure that each visitor’s journey is personal, haunting, and memorable.

Team Coordination and Adaptability:

Take direction from supervisors and adapt your role as needed to accommodate changes in operations or guest traffic. Communicate effectively and collaborate with actors, technicians, and management to ensure seamless, safe, and high-quality operations.

Safety and Compliance:

Remain vigilant for safety hazards, rule violations, or guest concerns, and report them immediately to maintain a secure environment. Follow all safety protocols to safeguard yourself, colleagues, and guests.

Requirements

Minimum Age: Applicants must be at least 18 years old to apply and work in this role.

Acting & Improvisation: Strong acting abilities with excellent improvisational skills to adapt to unpredictable audience interactions.

Comfort with Environment: Confident performing in dark, enclosed, and unsettling spaces, maintaining composure to enhance the immersive experience.

Memorization & Adaptability: Proficient at memorizing lines and blocking, while staying flexible to adjust based on live guest engagement.

Physical Skills: Comfortable with light stunt work (training provided), tailored to individual physical ability and comfort.

Availability & Reliability: Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and peak seasonal periods, with consistent punctuality and dependable attendance.

Physical Endurance: Capable of sustained physical activity including standing, walking, running, and rapid movement in a demanding environment.

Environmental Awareness: Able to operate effectively in low-light, confined spaces with extensive use of special effects (e.g., strobe lighting, fog, loud soundscapes).

Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work cooperatively within a diverse team of actors, technical crew, and supervisors to create a cohesive performance.

Dynamic Performance: Skilled at reading and responding to guest reactions in real time to maximize engagement and deliver impactful scares.

Professionalism: Upholds a positive attitude, reliability, and respectful communication toward all team members and guests at all times.
