Overview
Momentum Healthcare Staffing is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Oncologist/Hematologist (MD/DO) for a permanent position in Mason City, IA. The center offers an outpatient practice with a comprehensive Cancer Center and a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities
Play a role in building the future Medical Oncology team
Support the development of engaged and empowered colleagues
Support a culture of excellence in patient-centered care
Ideal candidates will be team-oriented, process-focused, and ready to make a difference
Provide care in a busy outpatient oncology/hematology practice
Collaborate with a team of 4 Hematology Oncologists, 2 Radiation Oncologists, and 4 Advanced Practice Providers
Utilize 24 infusion chairs and 20 exam rooms to deliver patient care
Maintain a reasonable patient load to support work-life balance
Engage with survivorship and genetics programs available in the center
Minimal call – phone only (1:4)
Coordinate with a 24/7 Hospitalist team for inpatient responsibilities
Participate in weekly tumor boards with on-site specialists (Pathology, Radiology, General Surgery, Urology, GI, etc.)
Collaborate with support staff including a dietitian, physical therapist, dosimetrists, physicists, clinical pharmacist, financial counselor, social workers, and tumor registrars
Compensation and Benefits
Highly competitive salary range based on experience and training (to be discussed at interview). Provider may submit salary expectations with presentation.
Up to $150,000 commencement bonus

Requirements
Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology OR Internal Medicine with subspecialty certification in Hematology/Oncology (must be ABIM or AOBIM) – REQUIRED
Iowa license (or willing to obtain) – REQUIRED
BLS (by time of start) – REQUIRED
DEA certification (by time of start) – REQUIRED
CDS certification (by time of start) – REQUIRED
Previous employment experience in leadership role – PREFERRED
