Role: Director of Contracts Management – senior leadership responsible for overseeing and driving all aspects of commercial contract negotiation, drafting, administration, maintenance, and compliance. Leads a high-performing team to ensure contracts are legally sound, compliant with business and regulatory requirements, delivered on time, and aligned with strategic priorities. Develops and maintains contract management frameworks (processes, tools, internal controls, systems) to mitigate risk, ensure global compliance, and support efficient operations. Collaborates with departments (legal, sales, marketing, finance, etc.) to execute tactical and strategic objectives; serves as a trusted adviser on operational and strategic initiatives. Focus on continuous improvement within each department and cross-functionally. Responsibilities
Develops and implements global contracting solutions aligned with the company’s strategy and revenue objectives, engaging internal and external stakeholders to define optimal approaches while respecting regional specificities (Direct/Indirect markets, Tender/RFP management, etc.). Oversee contract compliance – ensure timely, compliant, and efficient contract development, aligned to commercial goals, pricing policies and government regulations; facilitate processes and reporting to ensure obligations are met. Partner with Sales / Field Leadership to align on sales and compliance strategies; establish exceptional contract management across the organization. Analyze contract performance and financial implications to ensure compliance and risk mitigation; provide strategic recommendations and optimize business processes; advise commercial teams on contractual rights and obligations, and interpretation of terms and conditions. Define and establish reporting and KPIs to provide global process transparency; identify best practices and industry trends; develop action plans to drive continuous improvement; maintain, evaluate, and implement tools that drive efficiency and transparency. Lead a direct team across multiple regions, including hiring, training, evaluation, goal-setting, and ongoing guidance; foster a collaborative, high-performing environment with accountability. Lead the team in implementing legally compliant processes and documents through the sales and service contract lifecycle in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders; ensure contract elements can be supported through order management, fulfillment, and revenue recognition. Create a culture focused on customer and employee experience to improve engagement within the team and organization. Build and maintain strong relationships, manage expectations, resolve conflicts to protect company interests and foster long-term partnerships. Implement and manage contracting and order management tools, systems, and procedures to streamline operations and enhance productivity; prioritize system opportunities and manage technology priorities. Engage in reviews and audits related to contracting, pricing, ordering, and invoicing; resolve issues (e.g., pricing discrepancies) to support the business. Remain current on key health care and legal updates and trends affecting contracting and services; benchmark best practices and analyze relevant information and trends. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance or related field – Required Master's degree in law, business administration, or related field with emphasis on analytical, communication, and strategic thinking skills – Required Professional certification in contract management (e.g., CPCM, CCMP) and/or legal qualifications and/or program management (PMP) – Preferred 10 years of experience in a customer-facing function (ideally contract management within medical device). Proven track record of successful contract negotiations within a matrix, international environment. Minimum 6 years experience in a leadership or supervisory role in a matrix, direct/indirect and global settings. Pay and Benefits
The base pay range for this role is $145,549.31–$196,690.94 annually. Incentives may be provided; eligibility for discretionary annual bonus for non-sales roles and sales incentives for sales roles, governed by applicable plan terms. Company benefits include 401(k) with employer match, employee stock purchase plan, flexible time off for salaried employees, vacation and paid sick time, paid holidays, parental leave, disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, and other health and welfare benefits.
