Global Supply Manager (GSM)

is a cross-functional leader responsible for sourcing, qualifying, and managing Czinger’s global supplier base to support our cutting-edge vehicles. Core responsibilities include: Commodity strategy development across

mechanical, electrical, powertrain, body, interior, and high-performance composite systems Managing suppliers from early concept through low-volume production ramp Supporting milestones including design freeze, sourcing award, tooling kickoff, PPAP, and SOP Delivering cost, quality, and timing targets across Czinger programs The GSM serves as a key interface between Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, and suppliers, ensuring alignment of design, sourcing, and build execution in a complex, innovative environment. The Role

Global Commodity Ownership & Sourcing Strategy Define and execute global commodity strategies for assigned categories (e.g., chassis, suspension, propulsion, electrical systems, interiors, lighting, carbon composites) Conduct global market research, supplier benchmarking, and should-cost modeling to support decision-making Maintain a long-term sourcing roadmap considering cost, risk, technical readiness, and scalability Supplier Selection, RFx, and Business Awards Develop and execute RFQ/RFP/RFI processes aligned with engineering and program schedules Lead supplier evaluations including audits, cost competitiveness, capacity, and financial health Lead commercial negotiations (pricing, payment terms, IP, tooling amortization, delivery terms) Prepare sourcing recommendations for executive approval; own the award process from initiation to PO issuance Serve as the primary supplier interface from concept through SOP, ensuring milestones are met Coordinate with Design release, tooling progress reviews, PPAP/FAI, and initial quality validations Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering and Quality to support prototype builds and launch ramp-up Commercial Management & Cost Control Track part cost targets by BOM and reconcile against actuals Drive cost reductions through re-sourcing, VA/VE, and supplier negotiations Manage tooling and capex cost visibility, including amortization and reimbursements Risk Management & Supply Assurance Identify and mitigate supply risks including capacityConstraints, sole-sourcing, geopolitical/logistics risks, and supplier financial stability Establish contingency plans, safety stock strategies, and second-source development as needed Maintain real-time visibility into lead times, build plans, and material readiness Cross-Functional Collaboration Engineering: align sourcing with design intent, lead times, feasibility, and cost targets Manufacturing & Production Planning: align sourcing with build plans and mitigate supply risks Quality Assurance: support APQP and supplier quality for launch readiness Finance & Legal: ensure budget adherence and contract policy alignment Qualifications

Basic

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related technical field; Master’s or MBA preferred 5–10 years in sourcing, supplier management, or supply chain operations—ideally in automotive, motorsports, aerospace, or EV/hypercar programs Proven track record managing complex BOMs and categories across low- to mid-volume hardware programs Deep knowledge of sourcing technical systems (e.g., lightweight structures, high-performance chassis, powertrain components, electrical/electronic components, interiors) Strong commercial negotiation skills and experience with contracts, tooling, and service-level agreements Understanding of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, AS9100, and NP I processes (PPAP, APQP) Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and cost-tracking tools Preferred

Experience with Tier 1/2 suppliers across Europe, North America, and Asia Familiarity with additive manufacturing, CNC, carbon composites, or other high-performance processes Direct sourcing experience in hypercar, motorsports, or aerospace environments Technical literacy in interpreting CAD drawings, GD&T, tolerancing, and material specs Experience in startup or rapid-growth hardware environments with high urgency Compensation & Benefits

Pay range is level-based. For this role, candidates may be considered at levels S06–S07. Lead / S06: $120,190 - 165,250. Pay range: $120,190 - $190,686 USD.
