Presidio Trust
The Presidio Trust is seeking a Utilities Worker to support the Utilities Department, including the Wastewater and High Voltage teams. The Utilities Worker will work under the guidance of the Wastewater Supervisor, journeyman Utility Plumbers, and journeyman High Voltage Technicians to maintain components of the Wastewater and High Voltage systems. This is a full-time position with benefits and a starting rate of $31.78 per hour, based in the San Francisco Bay Area. This position is included in the Laborers International Union of North America, Local 792, United Public Employees of California bargaining unit. Responsibilities
Operate sewer cleaning equipment including high pressure hydro jetters, vacuum truck, snake machines, and video pipeline inspection cameras.
Excavate and repair sewer and storm pipes by hand and with various hand and power tools.
Remove, replace and assemble sewer and storm drainage pipes and fittings.
Provide assistance during water breaks and excavations.
Exercise water valves.
Assist with meter replacements.
Install and replace water meter boxes, valve boxes, and vaults.
Perform groundman work to assist with overhead work operations.
Install and replace streetlight boxes.
Install underground conduits.
Deliver necessary parts and equipment to worksites as needed.
Maintain equipment and tools in good working order.
Keep work trucks stocked and clean; keep storage and work areas organized.
Load/unload trucks with items needed for overhead work.
Use Yardi work order system to track labor hours and input necessary job information.
Attend trade and general training sessions regularly to advance skills and knowledge of utility and construction trades.
