Position: Project Engineering Manager - Capital & Continuous Improvement. This position is remote, but candidates must be within commuting distance to the Chicago suburbs for occasional on-site meetings. The role leads the development, facilitation, and implementation of Capital Equipment and Operational Excellence / Continuous Improvement processes for all manufacturing locations company-wide. The manager will work with operations leadership, plant personnel, and CI teams at both business unit and corporate levels. Responsibilities include designing and delivering capital equipment improvements, training programs, leading process improvement teams, analyzing processes and metrics, and implementing strategies as needed. Travel may be required (approximately 30%–50% domestically and internationally). Responsibilities

Manage major multi-million dollar capital projects companywide, including equipment research, layout design, and evaluation of equipment options. Estimate, assess capabilities, and implement equipment additions and improvements. Develop, utilize, and update complex spreadsheets and project management tools to track assets, capabilities, condition, age, and replacement plans across the worldwide manufacturing platform. Create detailed models and testing protocols to compare new equipment technologies for asset selection. Collaborate with corporate functional teams (procurement, EHS, IT, Legal, Finance, etc.). Manage equipment supplier relationships and ensure client expectations are met through equipment selection and performance. Engage with clients during product design to ensure manufacturability of options. Assist in developing the operational excellence CI model, and establish tools and metrics for performance and reporting. Roll out CI training programs (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, value stream mapping) and develop new training materials for CI concepts. Develop baselines for future comparisons and work with IT to capture and measure data. Provide ongoing feedback on goals, monitor results, and adjust programs as needed. Conduct CI review meetings and establish action plans for improvement. Communicate corporate-wide OE/CI and capital initiatives; motivate and collaborate across functional areas. Other responsibilities as assigned based on skillset and business needs. Qualifications

Education Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Required Experience 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Building, HVAC, and power system experience preferred. Manufacturing management experience preferred. Digital Printing experience preferred. Experience with CI tools and ability to train others in their use. Capital and general engineering project management experience. Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint proficiency; Minitab and project management software preferred. Required Skills Strong communication and presentation skills. Excellent change management and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate and collaborate across multiple functional areas. Strong coaching and people development skills. Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, operations, and plant KPIs. Self-motivated and results-driven. Additional Information

Salary range: $116,500 to $186,500 per year, depending on geographic location. Total compensation may include bonus or incentive programs.
