Remote Senior Accounting Manager - Remote within New England - SaaS Our team is working with a leading SaaS company focused on requirement management to hire a Remote Accounting Manager to their growing team. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing the accounting close activities and daily accounting operations with emphasis on cash management, payroll management, accounts payable and operating expenses. This role will supervise two accounting staff, including detailing reviewing all work completed, completing performance evaluations, coordinating training programs, and identifying training needs. The company is experiencing significant growth, with over 100M in revenue and 15%-20% YOY growth. Location and Compensation This role is a full-time remote position with up to 170K base, 15% bonus and strong benefits. RESPONSIBILITIES Manage accounting period close for areas of functional responsibility, including preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations and variance analysis Manage and review work prepared by Staff Accountants and Accounting Specialist, mentor and coordinate members of the accounting team on projects Maintain and manage changes to accounting ERP and other software systems under areas of functional responsibility Manage and support vendor relationships and related communications, including closely managing payroll and banking relationships Manage and support internal relationships and related communications with Company personnel Manage and support external audit requests related to functional assigned areas Ensure compliance with all applicable state tax laws and regulations, including timely preparation, filing, and payment of all relevant taxes; monitor changes in legislation and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain ongoing compliance Communicate timely, clearly and effectively with the Corporate Controller, on a weekly basis, status of all accounting projects, team initiatives, and accounting tasks Assist Corporate Controller with reviewing current policies and procedures and seek ways to improve processes to ensure timely monthly close, accuracy of accounting entries, and operational efficiency Assist Corporate Controller in designing, implementing, maintaining and monitoring corporate accounting policies and procedures; and assist in internal control and process documentation QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required 8+ years of relevant experience within the software/high-tech industries required Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP required (complex technical accounting knowledge e.g., ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 805, ASC 718) 3+ years of management experience (at least managing a team of two or more) required Advanced user skills with business tools such as Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and enterprise-wide systems and databases (Intacct and Nexonia experience a plus) Experience in a high-growth SaaS company 2+ years of public accounting experience Company Details Seniority level: Mid-Senior level Employment type: Full-time Job function: Accounting/Auditing Industries: Staffing and Recruiting Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Daley And Associates, LLC by 2x Salary ranges listed: United States $135,000.00-$216,000.00 (posted 2 weeks ago) Note : This description reflects the information provided and may include opportunities for remote work within the stated region.
