We are seeking a Senior Manager, Sales Planning and Strategy to lead a team of sales planners and analysts and drive the company’s sales strategy and planning roadmap. About The Team Our sales and partner management teams are the heart and soul of DoorDash, enabling us to partner with top restaurants across the country to drive revenue and help our partners operate even better. As DoorDash grows, the strength of our sales engine and organizational structure must grow with it. About The Role As Senior Manager, Sales Planning and Strategy, you will execute against top company objectives and help define our sales strategy and planning roadmap. You will lead a team responsible for both strategic and operational/tactical work, including designing incentives aligned to company goals, integrating new products into the sales GTM strategy, building consensus among sales leadership, designing compensation plans, driving plan implementation, and ensuring key metrics are communicated and commissions calculated. You will provide analytical support to the administration of sales incentive programs globally and collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide insights and recommendations. You will report to the Director of Sales Strategy and Planning and work with the Sales Strategy and Operations organization. You will report into the Director of Sales Planning and Compensation within the Sales Strategy and Operations organization. Responsibilities Lead a high-performing team of sales planners and analysts to own the development, implementation, and administration of sales incentive structures for our SMB Post Sales team. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Legal, HR, Product) to drive alignment and support decision-making. Analyze large datasets, derive actionable insights, identify trends, and provide recommendations to improve sales performance and efficiency. Develop and implement strategies to optimize sales performance, including territory planning, pricing strategies, and sales force effectiveness. Develop and maintain sales forecasting models, track key metrics, and prepare regular reports for executive leadership and Sales teams. Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning within the Sales Planning team. We’re Excited About You Because You Have… A bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related field (Advanced degree such as MBA/MS is a plus). Proven experience in a leadership role within Sales operations/planning or related field, preferably in technology, logistics, or e-commerce. Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to distill complex data into actionable insights. A demonstrated ability to lead and develop a high-performing team. Strong problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Strong analytical thinker with ability to deliver actionable recommendations from complex data; SQL experience and Salesforce/Excel familiarity strongly preferred. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Nice to Haves Experience working with sales organizations and with sales incentive design. Experience with incentive management tools (e.g., Anaplan, Xactly).
