The Channel Sales Director role operates within a matrixed organization and plays a crucial role in expanding a company's market reach and driving revenue by building and managing relationships with current tier 1 channel partners and identifying new partners to recruit in specific vertical markets, with logical geographic coverage to mitigate channel conflict. Responsibilities
Expand market reach and drive revenue by building and managing relationships with tier 1 channel partners and recruiting new partners in specific vertical markets. Focus on Value-Added Resellers (VARs) with CRM and ERP domain knowledge; evaluate potential opportunities with Systems Integrators (SIs), Managed Service Providers (MSPs), or other organizations promoting SugarCRM SaaS solutions. Develop channel strategies, manage current partner relationships, and coordinate mutual business planning with accredited channels. Coordinate certification, enablement, and training with enablement resources; ensure ChannelOPS, SalesOPS, Knowledge, Support, Services, Sales, Customer Success, Marketing and Finance functions are optimized to maximize commercial traction and remove friction. Work with channel marketing to define marketing strategies, campaigns, and programs to support the business plan. Monitor performance, manage partner contract obligations, optimize channel programs, and analyze market trends to identify commercial opportunities within each franchise. Ensure each partner has the capacity to achieve the mutual business plan. What you will bring
Bachelor’s degree in a related field. 6+ years of experience in channel sales and partner management within a B2B SaaS environment. Hands-on business management with an understanding of complex B2B SaaS sales, contracts, and cross-functional functions (Marketing, Sales, Services, CSM/CX, Support). Strong collaboration and leadership skills in a matrixed organization; data-driven, detail-oriented, and action-oriented. Excellent relationship-building and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple moving parts and maintain a results-driven mindset. Preferred Skills & Knowledge
